About

Urban Sports Spotlight is an independent editorial publication about the games and sporting cultures found in city life. It is for curious readers who notice how play fits into the spaces, objects and habits around them.

What we look at

Our coverage moves between street games, the spaces that host them, the objects that shape them and the visual language surrounding play. A painted line, a scuffed ball or a public court can open up a bigger story about how sport finds room in a city.

How we approach it

We favour clear explanations and useful comparisons over grand claims. When a detail varies between places or traditions, we say so rather than treating one version as universal. The aim is to help readers notice more, not to prescribe how a city or a game should work.
